Fathers complement mothers in parental responsibilities of raising children. In so doing, they demonstrate tremendous courage and selflessness. Father's Day is celebrated worldwide, to on a variety of dates. But most countries observe this day on the third Sunday of June, in commemoration and celebration of Dads. St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church honours not only fathers, but all men who have acted as father figures in other people’s lives, on the 3rd Sunday of June, every year. The Youth Group and Sunday School children join in with the congregation to learn the biblical position of fathers. Their participation brings into the service, quotations, poems and songs, highlighting the role of fathers in the lives of their children.
